Product Introduction
The Allen Bradley 1786-RPT ControlNet Coax Repeater is a communication device designed to extend and maintain the reliability / ControlNet industrial networks. It functions as a signal repeater that regenerates ControlNet communication signals transmitted through coaxial cable, allowing network segments to reach longer distances while preserving data integrity.
In ControlNet architectures, communication signals may weaken as cable length increases. The 1786-RPT repeater solves this issue by receiving incoming network signals, restoring their strength and timing, and retransmitting them to the next segment / the network. This ensures stable and deterministic communication between controllers, remote I/O devices, and other ControlNet components.
The module supports panel mounting installation, making it suitable for industrial control cabinets and network distribution panels. Powered by a wide-range AC input / 85–250 VAC, the repeater is designed for reliable operation in industrial automation environments where stable network communication is critical for system performance.
