The Allen-Bradley 1784-PKTXD PCI Network Interface Card is an enhanced industrial communication interface designed for desktop PCs that require multi-channel connectivity to legacy Allen-Bradley control networks. It provides a reliable and structured solution for integrating engineering workstations into DH+, DH-485, and Remote I/O systems.
Compared to single-channel communication cards, the 1784-PKTXD introduces expanded channel capability, allowing simultaneous interaction with multiple network segments. This makes it particularly suitable for complex systems where multiple communication paths must be maintained at the same time.
The card operates through a PCI interface compliant with version 2.3, ensuring stable data transfer and compatibility with industrial-grade PCs. It features multiple Phoenix connectors, with two channels dedicated to DH+ and Remote I/O, and one channel for DH-485 communication.
Each channel is equipped with a diagnostic LED, allowing quick identification / communication status and faults. With support for up to four modules per system and flexible driver integration, the 1784-PKTXD is widely used in system maintenance, commissioning, and long-term operation / legacy automation infrastructures.
