The GE Fanuc IC697ADC701 is a single-slot coprocessor module designed to enhance Series 90-70 / IC697 PLC systems by /floading display, alarm, and reporting tasks from the main CPU. It runs the Alphanumeric Display System (ADS) s/tware to provide human-machine interface (HMI) functions such as operator displays, alarms, logs, and screens independently / the control logic. The module communicates with the CPU over the backplane and provides serial ports for connection to operator terminals, PCs, or printers.
