The Bently Nevada 3500/22 Transient Data Interface (TDI) is a key communication and configuration module within the Bently Nevada 3500 Series machinery protection system. Designed to provide both steady-state and transient data, the TDI integrates the functionality / a traditional Rack Interface Module (RIM) with advanced communication capabilities.

Installed in slot 1 / the 3500 rack, the 3500/22 serves as the communication gateway between the rack and Bently Nevada’s System 1® s/tware platform, enabling high-resolution data acquisition and detailed condition monitoring for rotating machinery. With its ability to capture dynamic (transient) data during machine startup, shutdown, or process upsets, the TDI plays a critical role in diagnostics, root cause analysis, and predictive maintenance programs.

The TDI supports standard communication protocols and allows seamless interaction with other modules in the 3500 rack. It is compatible with Ethernet communication, making it ideal for integration into modern control systems and remote monitoring environments.
