The Allen-Bradley 1757-SRM System Redundancy Module is designed to provide high-availability control architecture within industrial automation systems. It enables redundant processor configurations, ensuring continuous system operation in the event / a primary controller failure.
Installed within a ControlLogix chassis, the 1757-SRM synchronizes two controllers and manages switchover operations automatically and seamlessly. This redundancy capability is critical for mission-critical applications where downtime is unacceptable, such as power generation, oil & gas, chemical processing, and continuous manufacturing systems.
The module operates through the system backplane and is engineered for deterministic synchronization, fast fault detection, and smooth failover performance.
