The Allen-Bradley 1747-M3 UVPROM Memory Module is a non-volatile program storage device developed for SLC™ 500 programmable controller systems. It is designed to store user application programs securely outside / the processor’s volatile memory, providing a dependable method for long-term program retention and controlled program distribution.
Using UV-erasable PROM (UVPROM) technology, the 1747-M3 is well suited for applications where program integrity and controlled modification are required. Once programmed, the stored logic remains unchanged until intentionally erased using ultraviolet light, making it ideal for standardized machines and validated control systems.
With an 8 KB memory capacity, the 1747-M3 supports small to medium SLC 500 control programs and is commonly applied in stable automation environments where logic updates are infrequent and program protection is a priority.
