The Bently Nevada 330104-02-15-10-01-00 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe is a high-precision eddy current displacement sensor designed for continuous monitoring / shaft vibration and position in critical rotating machinery. As part / the widely adopted 3300 XL series, this probe delivers consistent linear output, strong thermal stability, and reliable long-term operation in industrial protection systems.
This probe operates on the eddy current principle, generating a controlled high-frequency electromagnetic field at the probe tip. When positioned close to a conductive rotating shaft, variations in the probe-to-target gap cause measurable changes in the field. These changes are converted into a proportional voltage signal by the associated Proximitor® sensor, enabling accurate real-time monitoring / vibration amplitude, shaft position, and dynamic movement.
With a total length / 1.0 meter, this configuration provides balanced flexibility between compact routing and installation convenience. It is suitable for machinery installations where the monitoring module is positioned slightly away from the probe mounting location but still within controlled cabinet environments.
