The Allen-Bradley 5069-ARM Compact 5000 Address Reserve Module is a specialized accessory module designed to reserve a slot address within a Compact 5000 I/O system. It is commonly used in system planning and expansion scenarios, ensuring that a specific node position remains available for future module installation without requiring system reconfiguration.
This module is installed in a 5069 Compact I/O™ system and remains in place until it is replaced by an actual I/O module. It is especially useful in applications where system downtime must be minimized, allowing pre-allocation sur addresses for seamless upgrades.
The 5069-ARM requires a functioning Compact 5000 system, typically including a 5069-AEN2TR EtherNet/IP adapter and a backplane end cap, before installation. It operates on 24 VDC and features LED status indication for basic diagnostics. Importantly, it does not consume Sensor/Actuator (SA) power, making it efficient for system planning without affecting power budgets.
